11月1日，2009年法國羽毛球超級賽落下帷幕，中國隊收穫三項冠軍。林丹以21比6、21比15直落兩局橫掃陶菲克奪取男單冠軍；王儀涵和馬晉/王曉理分別擊敗隊友獲得女單和女雙冠軍。

男單決賽，林丹一開場就迅速找到感覺，他連得6分取得領先。陶菲克慢慢進入狀態，他連追幾分以6比10落後。之後的比賽林丹越打越興奮，他連連進攻得手，而陶菲克則失誤不斷，林丹連得11分以21比6先聲奪人。

陶菲克在第二局開始後先得1分，林丹連拿4分反超領先。陶菲克將比分追至5比6後，林丹又連得兩分穩定領先局面。雙方之後交替漲分，11比9後林丹又連取4分以15比9領先。陶菲克雖然奮起反撲，但林丹沒有給他任何機會，他一直保持領先以21比15再勝一局，林丹以2比0橫掃陶菲克奪冠。

女單決賽開始後王儀涵很快以4比1領先，王琳一度將比分追至6比7，王儀涵連得11分，她以18比6領先。大比分差距讓王琳無力追趕，21比9，王儀涵搶得先手。兩人在第二局幾次交換領先權，10平後王儀涵連得4分取得領先。王琳將比分追至12比15後，王儀涵連得6分，她以21比12再勝一局，王儀涵以2比0獲勝奪取女單冠軍。

馬晉/王曉理和成淑/趙蕓蕾在女雙決賽開始後幾次戰平，馬晉/王曉理連得4分取得領先，之後的比賽中馬晉/王曉理繼續保持領先，她們以21比13先聲奪人。第二局的1平後馬晉/王曉理又連得3分取得領先，成淑/趙蕓蕾雖努力縮小差距，但領先權仍牢牢掌控在馬晉/王曉理手中，她們連得9分以21比8拿下，她們以2比0戰勝隊友奪冠。

男雙決賽中，頭號種子印尼的馬基斯/亨德拉在先丟一局的情況下連扳兩局，他們以2比1(15比21、21比15、21比14)戰勝2號種子馬來西亞的古健傑/陳文宏稱王，混雙決賽是一場印尼內戰，維迪安托/納西爾以兩個21比7輕取隊友古納萬/瑪莉薩奪冠。

In Men’s Single, German sensation Marc Zwiebler played the fifth seed Indonesian Simon Santoso, who yesterday beat young Danish crowd favourite Jan Ø. Jørgensen.  Zwiebler has had a tremendous tournament so far beating the 2nd, the 4th and the 8th seed on his way to the final.

The beginning of the match it was very close, but Santoso was the first one to find his rythm.  The Indonesian took a five point lead at 9 – 4.  Zwiebler wasn’t able to come up with his best play and fell further behind later on in the set.  Santoso took an eight point lead at 16 – 8 and won the set easily 21 – 14.

In the second set the Indonesian immediately went in front.  Zwiebler tried to pull himself up, but it just wasn’t enough, as Santoso extended his lead to 8 – 2.  Santoso had an iron grip on Zwiebler and grabbed an eleven point lead at 15 – 4.  He showed no sign of nerves what so ever, as he cruised home in the second set winning it 21 – 6.  The fifth seed Indonesian showed great skills and was superior throughout the match.

In Women’s Single, Tine Rasmussen started out quite nervous.  She tried to attack but Wang Yihan had a god defence and she started taking the lead.  But Tine Rasmussen followed closely and also got her game going.  Slowly she got in front and won the set 21-18.

Second set started best for the Dane.  She had the lead throughout the set.  But she never managed to be in the lead with more than a few points.  However Wang Yihan took advantage of Tine Rasmussen’s mistakes and the young Chinese won the set 19-21.

It turned out to be another three sets match between the two players like in the All England finale.  Third set was a close-run in the beginning.  But Tine Rasmussen was in front all the time and even though Wang Yihan kept fighting, Tine Rasmussen had the upper hand and won the set 21-14.

In Men’s Doubles, Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen is ranked number five in the world.  Today they faced the world’s number two Kien Keat Koo/Boon Heong Tan in a match that lasted one hour and fifteen minutes.

The Danes started slow and the Malaysian pair took the first five points.  Kien Keat Koo/Boon Heong Tan took the lead 2-8 but then the Danes woke up and took a great steam of points and were in front 11-10.  The Danes kept on going and won an extremely close first set 22-20.  Especially both couples’ defence was incredible and it was difficult for all players to win the rallies.   

Second set was close from the beginning but both pairs made a lot more mistakes.  The Malaysians were in front with 11-8 and they kept on leading even though the Danes fought their best.  Kien Keat Koo/Boon Heong Tan won the set 14-21.

Third set was as exciting as the first set.  The Malaysians were in front 7-11 but the Danes didn’t give up.  They kept on fighting and fighting and took the lead 16-14.  But Koo/Tan regained the focus.  Boe/Mogensen had a disagreement with the one of the umpires and it made them loose the concentration.  The Malaysian pair stroke back and defeated the Danes 17-21.

In Women’s Doubles, the second seeded Danes got off to a difficult start, as Pan/Zhang quickly took a four point lead at 6 – 2.  Frier/Juhl fought well, but the Chinese couple held on to their lead and got in front by 15 – 11 later in the set.  The Danes then took five points in a row and even had two set points before losing a thrilling first set 22 – 20.

In the beginning of the second set Frier/Juhl seemed to have the upper hand, as they went in front by 6 – 2.  Pan/Zhang fought back well, though, and midway through the set the score was even at 10 – 10.  After that the Danes took charges again grabbing another four point lead, but once again the Chinese couple showed great fighting spirit getting back into the set.  However, it wasn’t enough for them, as Frier/Juhl won the set 21 – 18.

The third set started out close, but Pan/Zhang had a small edge.  They took control and extended their lead to 11 – 6, as the couples switched sides.  The Danes never managed to catch up with the Chinese players, who grabbed a nine point lead at 17 – 8.  Pan/Zhang kept their cool and ended up taking hiome the Denmark Open titel after a 21 – 12 win in the third set.

In Mixed Doubles, the Danish couple got off an amazing start, as they went in front by 8 – 2 early on in the first set.  Despite great fight from Clark/Kellogg the Danes kept their cool and stayed focused throughout the set.  Halfway through the set Fischer/Pedersen led by 13 – 8.  The Danish couple managed to hold on the lead and won the first set 21 – 16.

In the second set Fischer/Pedersen once again got an exellent start, quickly going in front by 7 – 2 against their English opponents.  But Clark/Kellogg refused to give up and they evened the score at 10 – 10 midway through the second set.  Ten points later still the score was even, but then the Danes stepped up and took the lead by 20 – 18.  However, they couldn’t convert any of two match points, as Clark/Kellogg fought back once more.  The second set was a thriller untill the very end.  The Danes missed out on five more matchpoints, while the Englishmen only needed one setpoint to steal the second set 27 – 25.

The third started out like the two previous, as the Danes took charge and grabbed an 8 – 2 lead.  Clark/Kellogg kept fighting, though, and when the couples switched sides the Englishmen had cut the Danish lead to just three points, 11 – 8.  A few minutes later Clark/Kellogg took the lead by two points at 14 – 12 putting pressure on the Danes now.  But this time around it was Fischer/Pedersen’s turn to make a great comeback, as they went in front by 20 – 17.  One match point was enough for the Danes, who defended their titel with an 21 – 17 win in the third set.

Men’s Singles

Bao(CHN) won against Hidayat(INA) for the first time.  He kept leading through the match including 5 successive point to 17 points in 1st game.  Hidayat was a litle out of his usual play of various technique and made a lot of mis-shots.  Bao said he played slow rob, high clear, drop shot and net play, than hard hitting.  Bao intended play rather slowly using rob, high clear, drop shot and net play so as to make Hidayat run to his exhaustion.  Hidayat told; Bao deserved to win, and played better this time.  There is no special stragedy for himself today because they have known each other well.  He wants to prove to Indonesian people that he can still be very strong player, that is his motivation.

Women’s Singles

Wang Yi Han(CHN) won her 2nd time winner succeeding beat year.  She overwhelmed Wang Xin(CHN) with her precious and swift placement.  She said she well know opponent’s technique and tactics of course because of belonging same team and could give bull play to the result of win.  She feels she is really progressing in Badminton while she wishes to promote her human nature more.

Men’s Doubles

Kido & Setiawan(INA) beat Dasuki and Sukmawan of fellow country pair, to their first time winner in YOJ, 2-0.  Both well know each play style and match proceeded rather uneventfully.  Kido & Setiawan told, they are now in 90′ of condition after coming back from injury.  They are relieved coming back to win the extended game from score of 17-20.  Daskis & Sukmawan told, they are this appointed of defeat since they took a lead in 2nd game.  They felt too much pressure from opponents.

Women’s Doubles

Wang & Ma (CHN) won the close match over Suetsuna & Maeda (JPN) 21-19,21-18, Japanese pairs fought evenly to Chinese pairs and kept their game plan to rally patiently but Chinese smash and swift foot work backed up by thier anticipation were superior only a litte.  Chinese pairs told;
They really agonized the very tough match including opponets super shot.  Indeed Japanese pairs are at top level of the world.  Suetsuna & Maeda told;  Though the loss was very regret to them, they are very glad and proud to be the honor platform.  They should make futher development at the critical point.

Mixed Doubles

The last match of YOJ 2009.  There were so many audience remained in the stands, that looks to show the high quality of Japanese Badminton Fan.  Anukritayawon & Voravichtaikul(THA) beat Denmark’s pair winning the world championship 2-1.  Denmark pair got 1st game rather easily while Thailand pair got back 2nd game 21-16 keeping effective attitude in drive rally after close early half to 10-10.  Final game was a very close one.  After 16-15, Denmark pair getting points successirely till 18-15, but Thailand pair fought paitiently through their good receive and counterattack, then finally got the extended game 22-20 to thier first win in YOJ.  Thailand pair told;  They are very happy for thier first win at the tournament out of Thailand.  They still are exciting from their victory.

 2009中國羽毛球大師賽9月20日在江蘇省常州市奧林匹克體育中心結束，隨著林丹2：0擊敗泰國名將波薩納，中國繼首屆大師賽後再次包攬該賽事全部五個冠軍。中國19歲小將王適嫻一路過關斬將奪得女單冠軍成為本次比賽最大冷門，混雙名將謝中博因心臟不適退賽，男雙名將蔡贇也因傷棄權。

決賽開始前，中國就已經拿下除男單之外的其他四項冠軍。而林丹和波薩納的男單決賽相對懸念不大，兩個21：17，實力更勝一籌的“超級丹”毫無爭議地獲得勝利，獲得本次男單冠軍。在此前的半決賽中，林丹是2：1擊敗李宗偉後晉級決賽的。

最大的冷門來自女單，此前先後擊敗王儀涵和盧蘭的19歲小將王適嫻繼續黑馬狂奔，在決賽中以2：1擊敗另一名國家隊主力王琳，三局的比分是21：14，14：21和21：14。王琳賽後坦言，王適嫻決賽中在網前表現要優於自己，這是落敗主要原因。1990年出生的王適嫻賽後則表示，自己和她們三人都還有一定差距，“我的目標是進入國家一隊，我也希望能成為她們中的一員。”目前還在國家二隊的王適嫻說。

其他三項決賽雙方也均是中國選手，結果蔡贇因傷棄權，蔡贇／傅海峰這對“風雲組合”的缺陣令郭振東／徐晨獲得自己的超級賽首冠。混雙比賽更有戲劇性，在前兩局1：1打平後，謝中博在第三局感到身體不適，在服藥後沒有好轉，只好宣布退賽，謝中博／張亞雯的退出也令陶嘉明／王曉理組合不戰而勝。

 

女雙比賽在兩對中國頂級選手之間展開，結果杜婧／于洋以兩個21：15擊敗隊友成淑／趙蕓蕾，獲得冠軍。賽後，杜婧在接受採訪時一度哽咽，她說：“在三月份受傷以後，很多比賽包括世錦賽都沒有打好，最近和于洋交流和練習都比較多，能先後拿下澳門站和這次超級賽的冠軍，要感謝于洋，因為我膝關節不是很好，她在場上很照顧我。”她同時也表示，她和于洋的組合目前還沒有恢複到去年的水平，還有很多技術上的東西需要完善。

本次大師賽就此落幕，基本派出全部主力出戰的中國隊包攬五金，這也是繼2005年首屆大師賽後中國隊第二次包攬這一賽事冠軍。

6月21日，國際羽聯印尼超級賽鳴金收兵，雖然在四個項目闖入決賽，但中國隊卻在決賽遭受重創，鄭波/馬晉在混雙決賽擊敗老對手李龍大/李孝貞奪冠的良好開局未能激勵隊友，王琳，蔡贇/傅海峰和成淑/趙蕓蕾在女單和男女雙打中落敗，這讓中國隊最終只獲得一項冠軍。

蔡贇/傅海峰前幾輪發揮穩定躋身決賽，鄭在成/李龍大則在半決賽中淘汰了頭號種子馬基斯/亨德拉。開場後韓國組合就以4比0領先，風雲組合很快將比分追至5平，不過蔡贇/傅海峰在之後的比賽中幾次出現失誤，這讓鄭在成/李龍大抓住機會拉開分差。16比12後風雲組合連追兩分縮小差距，但鄭在成/李龍大回敬3分以19比14領先，這之後風雲組合回天乏力，21比15，鄭在成/李龍大拿下首局。第二局風雲組合又是開局落後，在5平後鄭在成/李龍大連得兩分，不過蔡贇/傅海峰很快將比分扳為8平。風雲組合連拿3分以11比9反超領先，經過局間暫停後鄭在成/李龍大回敬3分重新領先，之後雙方交替漲分連續戰平，16平後鄭在成/李龍大連得兩分領先，但他們的回球失誤又連丟兩分，雙方戰成18平。李龍大網前殺球得分，20比18，韓國組合拿到賽點。隨著李龍大後場躍起殺斜線得分，21比18，鄭在成/李龍大再勝一局以2比0戰勝風雲組合奪冠。

男單決賽是在李宗偉和陶菲克之間進行的，新加坡羽球賽的早早出局讓李宗偉更渴求在印尼証明自己，而陶菲克也希望在主場奪冠。開局階段雙方爭奪激烈，李宗偉慢慢拉開分差，在12比9領先後他連續得分，而陶菲克則早早選擇放棄，李宗偉連得9分以21比9先聲奪人。陶菲克第二局開局不錯，他很快以7比1領先，但李宗偉打得非常耐心，他慢慢縮小差距將比分扳為7平。8平、11平後李宗偉連得兩分，之後他逐漸擴大領先，21比14，他再勝一局以2比0戰勝陶菲克奪冠。陶菲克第七次稱雄印尼賽的夢想也隨之破滅。

王琳今天的比賽開局不錯，首局21比12的橫掃讓球迷們以為她將以一場大勝結束戰鬥，首局比賽，王琳大比分領先，無論是後場殺球還是網前過渡都運用的得心應手，幾次回放的貼網小球讓紐瓦爾崩潰。然而隨後的比賽王琳卻連續暴露了不足的地方，第二局比賽雙方比分一直咬的很緊，17平之後，王琳在關鍵時刻失誤增多，手感也大不如前，網前球下網，後場殺球出界，這不是技術層面的問題，而是心理上出現了波動，在關鍵時刻手軟了。決勝局王琳的表現更讓人摸不著頭腦，從7比5領先變7比12落後，局勢一下子陷入被動，接下來紐瓦爾的兩次運氣球更加打擊王琳的信心，後半局比賽王琳又被對手打了一個9比2，最終以9比21的較大比分輸掉決勝局。連丟7分，2比9，決勝局這樣的關鍵時刻王琳兩次崩潰表現斷送了自己的奪冠夢。

成淑/趙蕓蕾決賽遭遇頭號種子馬來西亞的陳儀慧/黃佩蒂，在比賽中成淑/趙蕓蕾失誤偏多，她們一直打得非常被動，馬來西亞組合則打得積極主動，結果陳儀慧/黃佩蒂僅用時37分鐘就以兩個21比16連勝兩局擊敗成淑/趙蕓蕾奪冠。

鄭波/馬晉此前已經連續四次擊敗韓國的奧運冠軍李龍大/李孝貞，今天開場後雙方就爭奪激烈，首局他們多次戰平，15平後鄭波/馬晉連得3分以18比15領先。雖然李龍大/李孝貞嘗試反撲，但鄭波/馬晉牢牢控制局面，21比17，他們先勝一局。第二局鄭波/馬晉失誤較多，李龍大/李孝貞一路領先以21比8輕松獲勝，雙方戰成1平。鄭波/馬晉在決勝局以2比0開局，之後他們繼續保持領先，14比11後韓國組合連追三分扳為14平。鄭波/馬晉並不慌亂，他們連得3分重新拉開差距，雖然李龍大/李孝貞將分差縮小到1分，但鄭波/馬晉連得4分，21比16，他們贏得決勝局以2比1擊敗對手奪冠，這已經是鄭波/馬晉連續第五次擊敗李龍大/李孝貞。

6月14日，新加坡羽毛球超級賽落下帷幕，中國隊收獲三項冠軍。鮑春來在男單決賽三局獲勝奪冠，這是鮑春來繼2007年11月的中國賽之後時隔18個月後再次獲得超級賽冠軍，張亞雯/趙婷婷在女雙項目封后，鄭波/馬晉在混雙決賽逆轉擊敗隊友謝中博/張亞雯問鼎。

鮑春來在男單決賽中迎戰泰國的波薩那，首局開始後鮑春來就很快取得領先，波薩那將比分扳為14平後，鮑春來又連得兩分取得領先，之後他繼續保持優勢，21比19，鮑春來先勝一局。第二局雙方爭奪更激烈，兩人幾次戰平，13平後波薩那連得4分領先，他之後繼續擴大領先以21比16扳回一城。決勝局開始後波薩那一直保持領先，在6比10落後的情況下鮑春來突然發力，他連得9分以15比10反超領先。此後的比賽鮑春來牢牢掌控大局，21比15，他贏得決勝局以2比1獲勝奪冠。

張亞雯/趙婷婷在女雙決賽中迎戰印尼的波莉/馬赫斯瓦麗，首局兩人幾次戰平，4平後張亞雯/趙婷婷連得兩分取得領先，這之後她們一直掌控大局，21比14，她們先聲奪人。第二局張亞雯/趙婷婷2平後又連得4分取得領先，雖然印尼組合在中段一度將分差縮小到1分，但張亞雯/趙婷婷又連續得分拉開差距，21比13，她們再勝一局以2比0獲勝奪冠。

混合雙打比賽雖然是在兩對中國組合之間進行的，但雙方爭奪激烈，鄭波/馬晉在先丟一局的不利情況下連勝兩局，他們以2比1擊敗隊友謝中博/張亞雯奪冠。兩對選手在首局幾度戰平，在鄭波/馬晉19比17領先的情況下，謝中博/張亞雯連得4分，他們以21比19反超拿下首局。謝中博/張亞雯第二局乘勝追擊，他們很快就取得領先，15比12領先後他們打得有些保守，鄭波/馬晉抓住機會連得4分反超領先，19平後鄭波/馬晉連得兩分，他們以21比19扳回一城。決勝局鄭波/馬晉一路領先，他們以21比11拿下，他們以2比1擊敗謝中博/張亞雯奪冠。

在女子單打決賽中，中國香港的周蜜經過三局激戰以2比1(21比19、18比21、21比10)擊敗中國的謝杏芳奪取冠軍。謝杏芳在半決賽中戰勝了隊友蔣燕皎躋身決賽，而周蜜則是戰勝了中國的王琳闖入決賽，謝杏芳和周蜜曾經是國家隊的隊友，她們彼此非常熟悉。開場後兩人就爭奪激烈，雙方多次戰平，謝杏芳曾一度拉開4分領先，不過周蜜很快將比分迫近，在17平後，周蜜連得3分取得局點。雖然謝杏芳連救兩個局點，但周蜜正手突擊斜線得分，21比19，周蜜先勝一局。第二局開始後謝杏芳就取得領先，她以11比9領先進入暫停時間。之後周蜜連得幾分扳為12平，謝杏芳又連拿兩分再度取得領先。在謝杏芳18比14領先後，周蜜連追4分扳為18平，這時謝杏芳頂住壓力，她打得很耐心，周蜜則連續出現失誤，謝杏芳連得3分，21比18，她扳回一局。謝杏芳用一次發球失誤開始決勝局，2平後她打得不夠耐心，在場上失誤頻頻，她的殺球也無法直接得分，這讓周蜜抓住機會連續得分以7比2領先。謝杏芳追回3分後，周蜜又連得7分以14比5拉開差距。隨著比賽的進行，謝杏芳體力不支，周蜜牢牢掌控大局，隨著她劈殺對角得分，21比10，周蜜拿下決勝局以2比1獲勝奪冠。

男雙決賽中，英格蘭的克拉克/羅布森僅僅用時26分鐘，就以21比12、21比11直落兩局戰勝頭號種子印尼的馬基斯/亨德拉。

瑞士羽毛球超級系列賽於3月15日晚結束，中國選手林丹不敵馬來西亞名將李宗偉，無緣男單衛冕，但中國隊在女單、女雙和混雙上贏得三冠。

男單決賽是世界男單排名前兩位的李宗偉和林丹繼全英賽後今年第二次在決賽中相遇，但新科奧運冠軍林丹顯然沒有延續全英超級賽擊敗李宗偉時的狀態。首局林丹失誤較多，加上李宗偉打得比較耐心，最終林丹以16：21失利。次局，在5：5平後，林丹便開始落後，8：11進入局中休息後，林丹連追兩分。雙方一度打成14平；但此後林丹表現不夠耐心，最終以16：21丟掉比賽。賽後數據顯示，李宗偉的扣球得分、網前得分和連續得分等數據都優於林丹。2008年瑞士超級賽，也是兩人進入決賽，但結果是林丹2：0取勝。

女單方面，會師決賽的中國選手此前已鎖定女單金牌，最終小將王儀涵戰勝十運會冠軍蔣燕皎，奪得冠軍，這是她繼德國公開賽、全英賽之後，今年連續拿到的第三個冠軍。首局，王儀涵一度以9：4領先，在被對手追成16平後，王儀涵穩扎穩打，以21：17拿下該局。次局局中休息時，王儀涵11：8領先，此後雙方4次打平。16平時，蔣燕皎連得兩分，在對手追回1分後，蔣燕皎連得3分，同樣是以21：17扳回一局。決勝局前半段雙方多次打平，11平時，王儀涵連得7分，巨大的領先優勢令她發揮更為出色，20：12拿到賽點後，蔣燕皎挽救了一個賽點，但比賽終以21：13結束。

女雙方面，中國的奧運冠軍杜婧／于洋與奧運亞軍韓國組合李孝貞／李敬元重演北京奧運會決賽一幕，結果中國組合以21：11、21：12獲勝。

中國混雙組合鄭波／馬晉與韓國的奧運冠軍李龍大／李孝貞的對決可謂有心理優勢，因為他們在此前的德國公開賽半決賽和全英賽四分之一決賽兩次擊敗對手。本場比賽，他們在37分鐘內以21：16、21：15再次讓奧運冠軍組合俯首稱臣。

馬來西亞名將古健傑／陳文宏以21：14、21：18擊敗丹麥的3號種子摩根森／鮑伊，獲得男雙冠軍。

3月8日晚，全英羽毛球公開賽落下帷幕。最終，闖入全部五個單項決賽的中國軍團，成功實現了包攬五冠的偉業。其中林丹取勝李宗偉奪得男單冠軍；王儀涵力克拉斯姆森摘得女單桂冠；女雙，趙婷婷/張亞雯戰勝隊友趙雲蕾/成淑登頂；于洋/何漢斌混雙奪冠；男雙蔡贇/付海峰奪冠。

當天，最引人矚目的比賽當屬男單決賽林丹對陣李宗偉。現世界排名第一的李宗偉，在本次賽事中首次打破宿命，成功躋身決賽，“因為我一直沒能打進全英決賽，所以半決賽戰勝陶菲克後，我就已經完成了既定目標。”賽前，雖然李宗偉放言對決賽並不看重，但不論是奧運會決賽的潰敗，還是大賽氣質不佳的痼疾，都無疑使得李宗偉對冠軍充滿渴望，但這些壓力也不免成為他甩不開的枷鎖。而最終也正是急躁的心態和信心不足，使得他以19比21、12比21連丟兩局，輸掉了比賽。

相比起男單決賽，反而是王儀涵對陣拉斯姆森的女單決賽進行得更為扣人心弦。此前在半決賽中，就曾在先丟一局，第二局又落後10分的不利局面下，反以2比1逆轉戰勝蔣燕皎的拉斯姆森，在決賽中也如法炮制地在先丟一局後，通過苦戰扳回一局。但有了蔣燕皎這一前車之鑒，王儀涵在決勝局中反而放開了手腳，此前在第二局中失誤頻頻的殺球，在第三局中則變成了得分利器，最終雖然也一度被拉斯姆森迫近過比分，但王儀涵還是有驚無險地以21比19、21比23、21比11取勝，摘得了全英賽的女單桂冠。

混雙比賽中，于洋/何漢斌激戰三局2比1險勝韓國組合高成炫/河貞恩。

女雙內戰中，老將張亞雯/趙婷婷技高一籌，2比0取勝趙雲蕾/成淑。

最後，男雙蔡贇/付海峰也以2比0力克韓國的黃智萬/韓湘訓，中國軍團完美收官。

1月18日，2009年韓國羽毛球超級賽展開最後一日角逐。在男單決賽中，馬來西亞名將李宗偉在苦戰三局後，以1比2負于丹麥名將皮特-蓋德，無緣冠軍。女單方面，丹麥名將拉斯姆森以2比0擊敗法國選手皮紅艷，獲得超級系列賽兩連冠。

男單決賽在3號種子皮特-蓋德與頭號種子李宗偉之間展開。首局，李宗偉在8平後打出一波3比1的小高潮，以11比8領先進入中局的休息階段。休息過後，雙方爭奪得較為激烈，一度戰至16平。平局之後，李宗偉突然發威，在連得2分後，以18比16佔據場上的主動權利。皮特-蓋德則不急不躁，他及時調整狀態，並在上演一出5比0的好戲後，以21比18先勝一局。易地再戰，李宗偉信心不減，以11比3領先進入中局的休息階段。在隨後的比賽中，李宗偉牢牢地控制住場上的節奏，最終幹淨利落地以21比10扳回一局。在決勝局中，皮特-蓋德狀態有所回升，以11比6領先進入中局的休息階段。此後，李宗偉曾頑強地將比分追近至15比16，皮特-蓋德在關鍵時刻穩住陣腳，在打出一波5比2的小高潮後，以21比17再勝一局，從而以2比1力克李宗偉，摘得桂冠。

女單方面，2號種子拉斯姆森在決賽中對壘4號種子皮紅艷。首局，拉斯姆森在開局打得較為順手，以3比1領先。隨著比賽的深入，皮紅艷逐漸適應了場上的節奏，其前三拍的質量也隨之上升，加上拉斯姆森則失誤連連，皮紅艷抓住機會，連得5分，將比分反超至6比5，並以11比9領先進入中局的休息階段。休息過後，拉斯姆森在加強進攻力度的同時，減少失誤，掀起一波6比0的得分高潮，以15比11確立領先地位。局末階段，皮紅艷曾在以16比20落後之後連救3個賽點，一度將比分追近至19比20。緊要關頭，拉斯姆森提高警惕，在把握住第四個局點後，以21比19取勝首局。在第二局中，拉斯姆森在以4比5落後之時打出一波7比2的得分高潮，以11比7領先進入中局的休息階段。休息過後，背水一戰的皮紅艷曾一度將比分追至19平。關鍵時刻，拉斯姆森表現得沉著冷靜，最終在連得2分後，以21比19再勝一局。2比0，拉斯姆森完勝皮紅艷，問鼎桂冠。

混雙方面，北京奧運會冠軍、韓國組合李龍大/李孝貞在決賽中配合默契，以2比0戰勝泰國組合宋波爾/庫恩查拉，站上最高領獎台。兩局的比分是21比8和21比7。

在女雙決賽中，頭號種子中華台北組合程文欣/簡毓瑾以21比19和21比8直落兩局戰勝2號種子韓國組合李敬元/李孝貞，獲得冠軍。

男雙方面，4號種子丹麥組合鮑伊/莫根森表現出色，以2比0(21比12和24比22)擊敗2號種子韓國組合鄭在成/李龍大，奪得冠軍。

Tine Rasmussen and Lee Chong Wei once again stole the show on finals day of the Malaysia Open with their second consecutive title in as many years.

Indonesians Nova Widianto and Liliyana Natsir finally got their revenge from their Olympic defeat to Koreans Lee Yong Dae and Lee Hyo Jung but the latter redeemed themselves with one title each in their respective doubles.

The Indonesians quickly got off the blocks in the first final of the day against Olympic champions Lee Yong Dae and Lee Hyo Jung of Korea. The Indonesians took advantage of the Koreans’ many mistakes and won their first Malaysia Open title 21-14, 21-19 in just 32 minutes.

“We felt good today and we started targeting Lee Hyo Jung even more when we saw that she was the weakest link on the day. We also tried to mix up the pace as much as we could to destabilise the Koreans,” explained Lilyana after the match.

In the following match-up, Tine Rasmussen didn’t disappoint her many Malaysian fans by winning a second title in a row, this time against Zhou Mi of Hong Kong.

The Dane started strong in the first game but temporarily lost control of her match when she got anxious at the end of the second. However, the tall European was not put her off by her opponent’s relentless attack and threw her racket in the air out of pure joy after she grabbed the third game to earn her first victory of the year with a score of 21-17, 15-21, 21-16.

“I feel such great support in Malaysia. Everybody likes me here so it really is an inspiration when I’m on court at this tournament. Now I will enjoy this medal and will not think about the Korea Open until…tomorrow,” joked the Dane.

“With such a great start after such a great year in 2008, my main targets for 2009 will be the All England and winning the gold at the World Championships. I do set myself targets but at the same time am cautious of never having too many high expectations. This may explain why I look so deeply happy when I win tournaments like this one.”

The main dish of the afternoon menu consisted of a repeat of the 2004 final between Park Sung Hwan and local superstar Lee Chong Wei in quest for a fifth title at his home event. The Malaysian had an easier encounter than the previous day against Peter Gade and erased all of the Korean’s hopes in less than 39 minutes.

“With this win in hand, I’m looking forward to meet Lin Dan in finals again this year and I will be up to the challenge,” said Chong Wei, who won his fifth Malaysian Open title in just six editions of the tournament.

Yang Wei and Zhang Jiewen of China will probably never again be the same players they were when they grabbed the Olympic title in 2004. The Chinese might have felt a lack of training and the absence of a coach during their match against Koreans Lee Hyo Jung – on her second appearance of the day – and Lee Kyung Won.

As opposed to just one year ago, the Chinese – who seem to have lost their ability to change defence into attack – didn’t seem to know what to do anymore against their opponent’s offensive play and easily went down in two games.

In the last match of the tournament, Lee Yong Dae – also on his second appearance of the day – and explosive partner Jung Jae Sung may have once again been taken to three games for a third consecutive time during the tournament but finally overcame the newly formed duo of Alven Yulianto Chandra and Hendra Gunawan of Indonesia, one of the new pairs to watch out for.

Jung and Lee will undoubtedly be going to next week’s Korea Open as the current hottest pair in the world after winning the last three consecutive Super Series tournaments in a row. The Koreans took 48 minutes to make the 2009 Malaysia Open title theirs.
